Merchandising guide
How to target product badges by Shopify collection
Show a badge only on products in a specific collection, like "Summer Sale" or "Winter Collection".
Use case
You want a badge to appear on every product in a specific collection, without tagging each product individually.
Step 1. Create the collection
In Shopify admin, create an automated or manual collection. Example: “Summer Sale 2026”.
Step 2. Create the badge
In Product Badges, add a badge with the campaign copy.
Step 3. Collection targeting
In the badge rules, choose “Target by collection” and pick the Summer Sale collection.
Step 4. Set start and end dates
Pro plan: schedule the badge to auto-show on the campaign start date and auto-remove on the end date. Free plan: toggle on and off manually.
Step 5. Verify
Check products inside the collection (badge shows) and outside (badge hidden).
