How to show a Made In USA badge on Shopify
American-made is a real differentiator. Here is the fastest way to display a Made In USA badge on qualifying products.
Compliance note
Made In USA has legal definitions per the FTC. Do not apply the badge to products that do not meet the “all or virtually all” standard, or you risk FTC action.
Step 1. Audit your products
Identify which products qualify as Made In USA per FTC definition.
Step 2. Tag qualifying products
Add the tag “origin-usa” to each qualifying product.
Step 3. Create the badge in Made In
Map the “origin-usa” tag to the USA flag. Customize the label if you want “American Made” or similar.
Step 4. Display
The app renders the badge on every tagged product automatically.
Step 5. Collection page display
Turn on the collection page option to show the badge on product cards in collections.
