How to add a delivery cut-off countdown to Shopify product pages
Show shoppers exactly how long they have to order for same-day dispatch, with a live countdown.
The concept
A live countdown “order in 2h 13m for delivery Tuesday” creates urgency and reinforces the ETA.
Step 1. Enable the countdown in Arrively
Inside the app settings, turn on the countdown option. Pick the copy pattern: “Order in X for Y delivery”.
Step 2. Set the cut-off time
Same as your dispatch cut-off. Typical values: 12pm, 2pm, 4pm.
Step 3. Test across time zones
Shopify shows the cut-off in the shopper’s local time, not your warehouse time. Verify this logic works if you operate across zones.
Step 4. Place the widget
The countdown renders inside the Arrively ETA block. Position the block just below add-to-cart where it gets maximum attention.
Step 5. Monitor
Check your cart-to-checkout conversion rate for the week after adding the countdown. A 5-10 percent lift is typical.
